Linsey McNelis

Linsey McNelis is an accredited Play Therapist with years' experience working with children as an educator and therapist. She holds an honours degree and a higher diploma in Psychology from the National University of Ireland, Galway, a postgraduate diploma in Play Therapy from Canterbury Christ Church University, and a Certificate in Filial Play Coaching from the Academy of Play & Child Psychotherapy. She has completed further training with UK charity Big Toes Little Toes and has received certificates in their three Attachment programs; Baby Bonding, Parent Child Attachment Play and Heart to Heart and has become a trainer of these Attachment programs to practitioners in Ireland. Linsey has completed training and received certification with Play Therapy International as a Clinical Supervisor for play and creative arts therapists.

Linsey spent four years working as an educator with children with special needs, and through her work became interested in the power of play. She started her training as a Play Therapist in 2008 with a passion to help children to work through their problems in a safe environment, becoming more self-aware and developing their self esteem. Linsey is accredited by Play Therapy Ireland and abides by their ethical framework.
